FaithWorks wants you to come and see the lived experience of migrants on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. You'll see firsthand what migrants have to navigate, help out at various shelters, participate with ongoing ministries, and learn about immigration policy.
We can organize a trip for your church group, your family, or suggest that you join one of a few open invitation trips we host each year.
Possible trip locations range from Tijuana, the El Paso area, Piedras Negras (across the border from Eagle Pass, TX), and numerous opportunities in the Rio Grande Valley.
Our next open invitation trip is Oct. 17-19 to the El Paso area and across the border in rural Chihuahua. This particular trip will focus on immigration through the lens of racial justice. We'd love to have you!
If you are interested in joining a future trip or in having us help you arrange a trip for your group, send us a message here. Please include when and where you are considering going, the size of your group (or if it's just you), and where you are coming from.
Anyra Cano, Director of Programs and Outreach, will respond to your inquiry and help you explore your options for visiting the border.
